On a crisp October afternoon in 1908 Addie Joss of the Cleveland Naps pitched a perfect game against the Chicago White Sox. It was the only fourth in Major League history and the second in the American League. With the autumn air and leaves turning outside League Stadium, this illustration imagines a moment in that game.
