• Image of Second Lieutenant Boothby's Last Call

At 6am on 28 April 1916 2/Lt Charles Boothby was called from his dugout to the tunnels in which his men were working. He never returned. Charles is buried where he fell and remembered at ground level at RE Grave near Ypres.

This illustration captures the moment he followed Corporal Roland Brindley out of his dugout to the tunnel in which he'd been working. Corporal Brindley was killed at the same time and is remembered on the same grave marker.
